Areas to Volunteer

  •  Balay Amuma
    • Balay Amuma volunteers can make an impact by directly working with the children and staff within the classrooms and play rooms 
    • Tasks may include:
      • Crafts and put away
      • Clean up after activities
      • Pick up and drop off of children
      • Child care
      • Toy making 
      • Assisting in our gardening program
      •  Food prep for snacks and lunch
  • Administrative
    • Admin volunteers have the opportunity to help by helping KidsLIFE improve IT skills and website design. Other focuses are encoding paperwork and taking social media content
    • Tasks may include:
      • Taking social media content
      • Assisting admin staff on specific tasks
      • Encoding paperwork (profiles of our beneficiaries)
      • Working on updating our website
      • Sharing IT skills  
  • Events/Festivals
    • Event/festival volunteers have an opportunity to make an impact through helping prep events by helping make decorations or setting up event venue the day before an event. They will also help during events by assisting in the registration process, child managements, and being a part of the food committee. Also by helping wrap up an event by cleaning up venue and putting materials away at YLAC.
    • Tasks may include:
      • Preparations and making of event materials
      • Set up of event
      • Clean up after event
      • Putting away of materials used at event 
      • Creating an event program for guests
      • Being apart of the  food committee
      • Child care during event
      • Registration duties
  • Fundraising
    • Fundraising volunteers have the opportunity to make an impact by helping collaborate with KidsLIFE on how to expand resources for Balay Amuma and training programs
    • Tasks may include:
      • Helping cultivate new fundraising ideas
      • Helping organize fundraising events
      • Helping find grants or other sources of funding
